Lilliput Lane's "Restful Retreat" is based on Chapel of St Mary, Church Lane, RH9 8BW     IoE 287733   (original info:Jan Tarrant )  Map
St Mary's Almshouses and their adjoining chapel, given to the village in Victorian times by the Hunt family of nearby Wonham in memory of a cherished daughter who died in her teens.  Sir George Gilbert-Scott was responsible for their design.
