Lilliput Lane's "Alnwick Castle" is based on Alnwick Castle NE66 1NQ [IoE 235592] It was used as Hogwarts in the first two Harry Potter films. I visited in 1979 and then again on August 7, 2018
Note for LAPOLLO Visitors I made a bit of a mistake and assumed I would be able to see the Castle from the Gardens so bought a ticket for that online. I parked in the official car park at a cost of Ł3 for the day (2018) It turns out you cannot see the Castle from the Gardens so after a brief visit there I walked through the town to see what I could. See below The only way you can get the Classic view of the Castle is to buy castle entrance and view it between the Gardens and Castle Entrances On my tour I did note the municipal car parks in Greenwell Road. The good news is that they are free all day. The bad news is that, because of that, turnover is very slow...........
