There is a story attached to
the acqisition of this model which was retired by Lilliput Lane in September 1996. While
we were at the tea room (below left) John remembered there was a Lilliput Lane model of
the same name. The waitress confirmed this and said she'd thought of getting one. John
realised that one could be for sale on Ebay and thought this might make a surprise
Christmas present for Judy. He found one. ...but it was in the US. The solution was to
have it sent to his old office in Michigan so he could collect it on a December US visit.
Unfortunately it didn't arrive in time. However Judy's children were visiting, but didn't
have time to pick it up at the office 50 miles away. So the model was taken by one of
John's friends who met Judy's son Charlie at a road side and then hand carried it to
