Lilliput Lane's "Sulgrave Manor" is based on The Manor House, Manor Road, OX17 2SD  [IoE 234213] The ancestral home of the Washingtons in Britain   
I visited on August 28, 2008 and managed to get on the last tour at 4pm .... I was the only participant!  BBC Panoramic Images

This wing was added in 1929 On the East side you can see the fireplace ---- the wing extended another 70 feet originally

National Herb Garden -- herbs that were taken to America I chatted to gardener Sue McNally who was preparing a garden as it would have been in America in the 1640s. I sent information about crop growing at the Plimoth Plantation.
