Slater's Bridge Near Little Langdale Can be accessed by footpath   Jun 10 Across the River Brathay on its way from Little Langdale Tarn to Elterwater N54.4177 W3.0616 76809

Lilliput Lane's "Slater Bridge" is based on  Slater Bridge which crosses the River Brathay, 3 miles south of Keswick

The two part Slater Bridge takes advantage of a central large rock and a very long slate slab to cross the River Brathay on its way from Little Langdale Tarn to Elterwater

How to get there. The route I chose was to set the Satnav to High Park Cottages (off A593). You can continue beyond there down a very narrow track to a small footbridge (right). There is parking for 2 or 3 cars. You then continue on foot westward to Slater Bridge.
One advantage of this route is that, with a minor detour from the footpath, you can visit "Cathdral Cavern" which is made from old slate quarries
