Sherlock Holmes Westminster Pub & Restaurant L2611 . At junction of Northumberland Street and Northumberland Avenue N51.507 W0.125 .
The "Sherlock Holmes" is so named because Arthur Conan Doyle wrote some of the stories in the Northumberland Arms Hotel
It was in the Good Pub Guide  Lucky Dip section until 2007 but seems to have dropped out after that. The Sherlock Holmes is just off Northumberland Avenue which is Magenta on the London Monopoly Board
Lilliput Lane's "Sherlock Holmes" is based on the Sherlock Holmes Pub in Northumberland Place, London
Upstairs in the restaurant is a replica of Sherlock Holmes office. It was built for the 1951 Festival of Britain
We visited on December 9, 2005 ..... ...and returned with Charlie & Katie on January 18, 2005
