Mount Pleasant

Up

I visited Mount Pleasant on November 6, 2017 having worked there in the Postal Mechanisation Development Laboratory for 2 summer internships in 1966 and 1967.

This was for a generation of equipment described on pp 64 to 71 of the doctoral thesis "Technological Change and Industrial Relations in the British Postal Service 1969-1975" by Peter Sutton at Kings College, London

The  main reason was to visit Rail Mail, the Post Office Underground railway that I had first seen 60 years earlier when it was operational. Now it is possible to go for a ride
I also visited the Royal Mail Museum
