Lilliput Lane's "Grandma Batty's Tea Room" & "Little Shambles" are based on the LH & RH sides of Gert & Henry's, 2 Jubbergate, YO1 8RT (01904 621445)
Mallard is now a few hundred yards from the station in the National Railway Museum
Lilliput Lane's "Mallard Steam Locomotive at York Station" is based on Mallard (at NRM York) & York Station, Station Rd, YO24 1AB [IoE 464767]
 
Micklegate Bar was also the place where traitor's heads were displayed to deter rebellion. Some famous (and infamous) heads which decorated the Bar include Henry "Hotspur" Percy (1403), Lord Scrope (1415), Richard, Duke of York (1461), and the Earl of Northumberland (1572). Heads were often left atop the Bar for years

I stayed here on night of June 26, 2007.

The owners pointed out to me that the model is a mirror image of the building and is probably based on a mis-printed photo in an RAC Guide

 

The bay window is very nice stained glass, see below
