Little Milton is a small village in Oxfordshire.   Virtual Tours    Historic Map   Village site It has been suggested (Claire Scott) that Lilliput Lane's "Robin's Gate may be based on "North Lodge" which is opposite the church rather than in Staffordshire as noted in LL Catalogues.  IoE 246464 There are a pair of gate cottages to Little Milton manor which seems to have been demolished and several other homes built there.
