Follies

Up

Folly...............by definition - A name given to any costly structure considered to have shown folly in the builder.

"When I first came to England and saw my first folly in the Cotswolds I could not believe that someone would spend so much time and money on a tower that soared several stories and was completely empty on the inside. Like Ann Robinson might ask "What are they for?" That first tower started my new fascination with follies. Now I have another good (?) reason to comb the countryside. In addition to finding my Lilliput Lane cottages, I can now find follies everywhere I go." Judy Saville
